About Natanel Saar

I was born in Israel, and in 1999–2000 I embarked on a 20-month journey through India. It was there that I met my life partner, Janice, a meeting that deeply shaped the path my life would take.

Since 2006, Canada has been our home.

We live in Kelowna, BC, where my wife and I are raising our two children. Life in the Okanagan Valley suits us wel, we appreciate its gentle pace, wide-open landscapes, and the quiet beauty of nature that surrounds us.

I’m an introvert at heart and value meaningful, genuine connection. Music is an important part of my life; I enjoy playing acoustic guitar and singing with my wife, who plays keyboard and sings as well.

Much of my joy comes from simple, grounding moments: spending time with our children, walking our dog, listening to inspiring talks, and connecting deeply with my clients.

In the summer months, our family loves traveling through the Okanagan with our tent trailer, discovering new places and sleeping under the stars.

My Spiritual Journey

The name Natanel was given to me after a deeply transformative healing session with my spiritual mentor. After that experience, I felt a profound shift within — one that made my previous name (Nir) no longer feel aligned with who I had become.

My journey into spirituality began in India in 1999, where I spent about 20 months exploring the country on a Royal Enfield motorcycle.

I lived in places such as Dharamsala, Rishikesh, and Goa, immersing myself in the culture, studying healing modalities, and living simply.

While in India, I studied Reiki, Ayurveda, and Yoga, and completed a ten-day Vipassana meditation retreat in Dharamsala.

That retreat was both intense and illuminating — I experienced such deep stillness that I didn’t want to return to the “noise” of constant thinking.

Not long after the retreat, I met my wife-to-be in a meditation group in Rishikesh. Our meeting felt divinely timed.

We eventually chose to make Canada our home and have lived here for more than 21 years.

Exploring the Nature of Reality

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the deeper questions of life — the nature of reality, consciousness, and the purpose of existence.

This curiosity led me to explore various spiritual paths, including Buddhism, Shamanism, and Meditation, and I found inspiration in the teachings of Jack Kornfield, Pema Chödrön, Byron Katie, and David R. Hawkins.

Although I was raised in a secular family, my experiences as both a person and a healer revealed to me that there is indeed an organizing, benevolent force guiding life — one that is all-powerful, omniscient, and ever-present.

In recent years, I have been deeply drawn to Kabbalah, the inner teachings of Judaism. It has become the main spiritual tradition I follow — a return to my roots and a realization that the wisdom I sought outwardly was also within the tradition I was born into.

My work as a health practitioner

I have been practicing acupuncture since 2009, and this work continues to be a source of fascination and inspiration. It allows me to explore, alongside my clients, what true health means — and what helps bring it back into one’s life.

Through my years of practice, I’ve come to see that emotions profoundly affect our health, and that healing emotional trauma often creates a stronger foundation for physical and mental well-being.

I also recognize that all true healing comes from a higher source.

As practitioners, our role is to create a safe, compassionate space and to do our best — but ultimately, healing flows through us, not from us.

As my work evolved, I found my intuition deepening. I began to sense which acupuncture points would best serve each client, often guided by intuitive insight.

Eventually, I discovered I could activate acupuncture points energetically — without inserting needles — and still achieve great results.

Working with my spiritual mentor continues to be a profound and life-changing experience. These remote healing sessions are essential to my own healing and spiritual development, and they continue to evolve and upgrade my capacity to support my clients health journey.

My Purpose

Facilitating healing and supporting others on their spiritual and emotional journeys is more than my profession — it is my life’s purpose.

I believe we are all learning and growing through one another, and that the outer world reflects our inner world.

In truth, we are all on a shared path — of learning, evolving, and healing — returning, step by step, to the wholeness that has always been within us.
